Walk for Warmth 2016
It’s that time of year again! MCOP is gearing up for its 26th Annual Walk for Warmth, to be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in downtown Monroe. This annual event has helped thousands of individuals and families over the years stay warm during the cold Michigan winter – and we are so grateful for the community support we receive!
There are only a few people in August who want to imagine mid-January and our cold Michigan winters. But if you take a minute to remind yourself of the cold blustery wind, snow, and icy roads – then think about not having heat in your home during those times – this is why the Walk for Warmth is so important. Many people in Monroe County face this scenario – they don’t have money to pay their utilities, buy wood, or get their propane tank filled – so they simply go without.
Your support is truly an investment toward the lives and futures of our local individuals and families who need help to get out from the clutches of poverty and back to self-sufficiency. We appreciate your consideration of this request and for your convenience, we’ve included in this packet is the Sponsorship Level and Sponsor Commitment Forms. The hope is to have our sponsorships confirmed by October 1, 2016.
